This is a new thing in jaunty. I'm only running the padevchooser applet,
and my computer's idle and not playing anything nor any other computer
on the network is streaming anything to it and my pulseaudio daemon has
a constant cp
similar problem here. after some computer usage I had two processes using about
5% cpu constantly: pulseaudio and python.
Do not know what python was, so I execute a "killall python": many AWN icons on
the dock bar disappeared and the pulseaudio process as well.

Quitting padevchooser doesn't make any noticable difference. I've also noticed
that it starts after a hibernate/suspend.
It may also be related to the fact that mail-notification and pidgin's
notification sounds are really scratchy.
