I had google-chrome installed on my system and I did the following cd /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree sudo mv libflashplayer.so libflashplayer_BAK.so sudo cp -l /opt/google/chorme/libgcflashplayer /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so I created a link from latest google chrome flashplayer into adobe`s broken one. Now megaupload works, vbox7 works and facebook`s petsociety works too. Megaupload freezes in chrome too but this time I just close the tab (thread) so it`s better but still can`t upload a thing :( Guess it`s from the java plugin. Finally someone to confirm it! I posted it on 03.05.2009 and no one reported. Thank you. Appears that there are no problems in FF2.x versions... or if you disable flash plugin it is OK. I have this poroblem too. Trying to upload files via MU (Firefox 3.5.7) on latest Ubuntu 64bit and it not only doesn't work - it pretty much hoses my whole internet connection. I think it's because it's uploading (with all the bandwidth taken up) but it's not showing that it's uploading.
