[Bug 378293] Re: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions
Issues with VPNC are unrelated to the problem here. If you have a problem with vpnc, please file a new bug (using 'ubuntu-bug network- manager-vpnc'). Note that this is likely an issue with rekeying which means you will also need to check configuration on the vpn server, and that's likely where things are breaking. Please, if you see this problem with *openvpn*, attach the whole log from /var/log/syslog that shows the issue. We'll need all the error messages. Setting back to Incomplete. ** Changed in: network-manager-openvpn (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378293 Title: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-openvpn/+bug/378293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 378293] Re: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions
I have this bug aswell. It is quite annoying. I am disconnected after 24 minutes everytime. [Bug 378293] Re: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions
There's just not enough information to tell what the problem is. If you're still seeing this issue please provide full logs from /var/log/syslog after reproducing the issue so we can try to see what's going on. On the other hand, the message about privacy extensions has *nothing* to do with this bug, it's just a side effect of bringing up a tun device. ** Changed in: network-manager-openvpn (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378293 Title: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

As of today it appears to be working correctly. [Bug 378293] Re: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions
This is still a bug in nearly one year on. My vpn connects fine using an openvpn config file but from the gnome nm it connects and then disconnects after a few seconds with the same error message in the log. -- tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
