[Bug 378293] Re: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions

2011-08-04 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
Issues with VPNC are unrelated to the problem here. If you have a
problem with vpnc, please file a new bug (using 'ubuntu-bug network-
manager-vpnc'). Note that this is likely an issue with rekeying which
means you will also need to check configuration on the vpn server, and
that's likely where things are breaking.

Please, if you see this problem with *openvpn*, attach the whole log
from /var/log/syslog that shows the issue. We'll need all the error
messages. Setting back to Incomplete.

I have this bug aswell. It is quite annoying. I am disconnected after 24
minutes everytime. I have documented and asked for help here:

[Bug 378293] Re: tun0: Disabled Privacy Extensions

2011-02-03 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
There's just not enough information to tell what the problem is. If
you're still seeing this issue please provide full logs from
/var/log/syslog after reproducing the issue so we can try to see what's
going on.

On the other hand, the message about privacy extensions has *nothing* to
do with this bug, it's just a side effect of bringing up a tun device.

As of today it appears to be working correctly. Were any updates issues
for Ubuntu Lucid (64 bit) that might have solved this problem?

2010-05-17 Thread Reptile
This is still a bug in nearly one year on. My vpn connects fine using an
openvpn config file but from the gnome nm it connects and then
disconnects after a few seconds with the same error message in the log.
