Thank you for sending in your bug report. I think what might have
happened is that you accidentally told it to never ask if you want to
save your password for that site. If you got to Edit-Preferences,
Security Tab and click the Exceptions... button a dialog will show all
your sites that will
also, check to see if there are two entries for gmail.com or google.com
under the password bank. I have had that happen to where one had my
password and the other was blank for the same user name, causing it to
act the same way

Google.com was there in the exceptions ! { I should avoid giving my laptop
to my friends ;) }
