I've refiled the bug at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=598581 to
see if it gets any love upstream.
I don't think invalidating it here does much good when the same amount of
effort can be used to retarget the bug :(

- If you copy a file to a network storage by drag-and-drop via
nautilus-explorer the data transfer is reported in a progress bar and by an
icon in the gnome panel.
- If you do the same transfer with the send-to-dialog, there is neither a

It's a shame this didn't make it as a papercut as i used the sendto for
an ISO and figure it must be something people will bump into sooner
rather than later. Even if they just copy a music directory to a thumb
drive or something 20Mb
I hope this gets fixed for Karmic! Anyone offering mentorship

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper
cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is
quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of
this project.
This is more of a feature request , not a papercut.
