I think this is rather important, having these files everywhere clutters up
normal use of both konqueror and the desktop itself.
How does one go about upgrading this from wishlist to something more?
Is there some good reason this is not changed (eg.just adding an option under

I have updated the description for several reasons:
1) This has nothing to do with GNOME.
2) There is a backup file type defined in KDE already.
3) I provide a testcase.
I hope you agree with the changes.

I added a remote bug watch to the upstream bug. Yet, that upstream bug
seems very confusing. They seem to ignore the fact that there is already
a Backup file type.
