This is not related to mountall. From the ecryptfs-utils side, there is support for configuring this by touching or removing two flags, ~/.ecryptfs/auto-mount and ~/.ecryptfs /auto-umount. So I'm going to invalidate the ecryptfs-utils task. I see your point, though it would be considerable effort to go through and hook all the places that might need to dynamically mount and unmount private. Doesn't seem very practical, but that's just my opinion. Thanks a lot for reporting this, however I am invalidating it as a paper cut as encrypting individual directories is a task that the average user is unlikely to be carrying out during their day-to-day computing habits.
