It isn't on any of the Live CDs I have of this week. I will confirm it
due to the responses, however I am thinking if it is only noticeable on
the Live CDs, then it isn't a kdebase bug. I will move it to kubuntu-
meta for the time being and keep an eye on this.

in a vanilla Gutsy so I am marking as fixed. Please re-open if you spot

This appeared to be a LiveCD-specific issue. Are there even LiveCDs for gutsy
yet?
(I've observed this on the dapper and edgy LiveCDs, but I haven't tried feisty.)

Yes, its still a problem with Edgy and KDE 3.5.5. As I have stated
above, I'm running it from a Kubuntu 6.10 Live CD.
I will try it out with a feisty CD to see If I can repro it with that.
