In Bento Openbox 14.04.3, this bug shows in the $HOME/.xsession-errors. The real issue is that if there is no background on top of the root background, the Openbox menu does not show. The issue is solved by removing the scim packages: scim scim-gtk-immodule scim-im-agent scim-modules-socket

curious fonts since today cant attach .xsession-errors because its hidden /etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup... Setting IM through im-switch for locale=fr_FR. Start IM through /home/oem/.xinput.d/fr_FR linked to /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim-bridge. Smart Common Input Method 1.4.9
