With Maverick and nautilus_2.32.0-0ubuntu6~ppa160_i386.deb, I also get
similar error when shutting down my laptop::

Hello David. I also get segfault at 7 ip 0044d189 sp bfc06490 error 4
in libgobject-2.0.so.0.2400.1 when shutting down the computer. Then I
have to turn it off manually. Do U know what's the reason or even a
workaround?

2.27 menas unstable... thx to upgrade to stable which sould be 28 for ubuntu
9.10 ;)
