I am experience the same problem with Ubuntu 10.04. After Hibernation I
have to enter my password twice, I think that it's the same problem as
described.

A workaround which can be used for some while waiting for this to be
fixed, is to use [Ctrl-Alt-F#] to switch between _already logged in_
users, where # is 7,9,10, ( and 11,12 ?).
