Oh, OK. Thanks for the clarification. I'll actually make this bug a
duplicate of the other one since you both have the same laptop. Further
discussion of the bug can continue there.

[Bug 417287] Re: xorg-intel-video can't change backlight

2010-01-17 Thread mad_man
Well no problem ;) ...
and about the reproduction, it could sounds weird but, as fair as I know, I'm
the only person that cannot reproduce it i.e. I'm the only person that got the
backlight thingy workingall other users of fujitsu siemens amilo u3520 cannot
make this... ;/
for example check this out:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/363326
i think the problem lives somwhere in the kernel but.. i'm not quite sure... if
this help .. i can give all details what i did to get this thing working but..
the steps that helped me.. doesn't help others.. ;/ see the link I gave...

Sorry if I misunderstood you. Do you mean that you or someone else can
still reproduce the issue?

[Bug 417287] Re: xorg-intel-video can't change backlight

2009-08-24 Thread Scott Howard
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you
could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next
release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release
at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your
help.
