post-installation script
Changing to gnome-settings-daemon (as a hopeful guess), as the log shows
it the last thing to (almost) be installed prior to the next two
packages seg-faulting.

package ubuntu-docs 9.04.10 failed to install/upgrade:
I reinstalled Ubuntu 9.04.10. I went to terminal windows and did it via
CLI. Had no issues then.
Did an init 6 and had a clean reboot. Went to Synaptic Package Manager
and could update the rest of what I was missing.
