Noel,
Karmic is a development release. Things are broken now and then. If you can not
live with that for a week then you should not be running development releases.
By the way, the alternative 'xvnc4viewer' is right there in repositories and
just one click away. :-)

Hi Noel,
Im linux-noob. I do think I understand what youre saying though. So then
it's either my medication :P or that launchpad site is unintuitive.

involved in *any *software development phase and that was under ms.

Håkan, if you look at the top of this page, you'll see that there are
two listings. Vinagre: VNC client for GNOME, which is marked Fix
Released; and vinagre (Ubuntu), which is marked triaged.
Basically, the bug is already fixed upstream, where development
happens, and we're just waiting for that
Adding again, remembering to click the patch checkbox this time.

Noel, tomorrow vinagre 2.27.92 tarball will be released, and it will get
updated into karmic.
That's the point of having development releases, to get things tested,
reported and fixed during the cycle.
IMO there's no need to worry and create patches of things that were
fixed upstream and will

But in the meantime, for the past week, anyone testing on Karmic had a
broken VNC client with no functionality, unless they fixed it them-self
or installed an alternative. So in my view,
