[Bug 438160] Re: nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration
AFAIK this is the same bug reported in fedora 525819 and that was fixed with the following commit : http://git.gnome.org/cgit/network-manager- applet/commit/?id=78b7101d570aa874cd748b0488ddeda15d7657df -- nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438160 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 438160] Re: nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration
Me too. We noticed the same issue when trying to alter IPv4 properties for VPN connection. Karmic fresh install at 2009-30-09. PS. Could this be a regression? [Bug 438160] Re: nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration
I have also another Karmic alpha install which is already almost 2 months old but dist-upgraded twice a day. A few weeks ago I could create a working VPN connection with proper IPv4 settings... ...BUT I can not alter the settings any longer - settings remain as they are though I try to save changes. Luckily I don't really need to alter them. :P If I alter the settings directly with `vim .gconf/system/networking/connections/X/ipv4/%gconf.xml` the settings manager READS and shows the altered configuration correctly but is unable to save new values. -- nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438160 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 438160] Re: nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration
I have the same error on a fresh beta install of Karmic. It seems impossible to make nm take a fixed ip address. In my case this is for a fixed connection (not wireless). He forgets this setting immediately. -- nm-applet loses ipv4 configuration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438160 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
