I am using Xubuntu alpha 2 amd64 10.04 on radeonhd 4670 () with old CRT monitor Hitachi cm772. I have to uninstall plymouth (graphical boot animation and logger - main package) to get rid of pc lock up on enter push. And i use nomodeset on boot kernel options to get rid of screen luck up on changing rezolution from 1600x1200 85hz to 1024x786 85hz. I think problem is in 85hz. If i choose not 85hz then screen don't luck up. The system is not lock up in this moment, because i can switch terminal (console) by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 and login.
