I am running Natty, and it doesn't appear to be fixed. Still no love for
GAL or Calendar.

GAL won't connect or synch

Bummer. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx - released in April
2010 and supported until April 2013.
Sigh, I guess I'll give this up for now.
Thank you for this information.

Well I can't get it to work and the help files are not helping.
I'm not sure if it's because i'm on a corporate network and they use
clustered servers. Could that have something to do with it?
I did notice that I either need the actual server name or the web mail
address. I have tried both and
Are you running Ubuntu Natty ? The fixed version of evolution-mapi is
only available in Natty at the moment.

Shared responsibility is nobody's responsibility. Evolution-mapi in Ubuntu
depends so many parties (Ubuntu, samba, openchange, gnome, novell...) that no
one knows what is happening. And it seems no one cares...
All we all users see, evolution-mapi in Ubuntu has been a shame for 2 years
now.
Yes and as you stated they (Ubuntu programmers) apparently don't care or
can't spend the necessary time involved to correct the issue.
I'm not a programmer. I don't understand any of it so Evolution is really
dead to me.

This issue is not resolved. I don't know why anyone would indicate that it
is resolved. It is a serious issue. I was really hoping to be able to fully
utilize Evolution instead of Office Suite/Outlook. It appears I cannot. I
will keep searching for a solution but do not hold much hope of finding
This is a serious issue, evolution have gone and dropped OWA support for
2007 and claim that we have to now use the mapi client. This is so silly
I cannot even begin to explain. But more importantly according to the
gnome dev's this is fixed

I'm not sure what you are telling me. Do you mean that Ubuntu Evolution GAL
works? Because the version of Ubuntu and Evolution I am using are not
synching so I don't see any addresses from the global list.
