Jaap, there was no need to close the bug. I have reopened it. For future
reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by clicking on the
current status in the yellow line and then choosing a new status in the
revealed drop down box.
Confirmed present in xsane 0.996-1ubuntu2

xsane tells me this error when I am scanning a document.
I do not try to name this document with backslashes or other signs, just a name
.
someone tries to close this bug, but it is a new bug. happens only after latest
upgrade.

This is still present in gutsy.
Please don't close bugs like this without taking the time to see if they
are still reproducable! This is *very* annoying and makes me much less

I've recreated this bug report using xsane version 0.99+0.991-3ubuntu5
on Gutsy Gibbon.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Scan an image
2) Choose save and use a file name with a / in the name
