I can confirm this issue is still apparent on a copy of karmic that has the most recent updates. I'm going to go ahead and see if it is fixed in lucid lynx. I am assuming that suspend2ram is on by default on the livecd. -- HP HDX16 failure to suspend/hibernate

I have the same problem using HP HDX 16 and Karmic Koala. I posted it here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Hardware/HP-HDX-16-BIOS- bug-suspend-thermal-info/m-p/221287 but I have no answer from HP. I'm pretty sure this is a BIOS related bug. This happened with dv5 model and it was solved by HP

I've accidentally discovered something new. I rebooted the HP HDX16 laptop the other day but did not log in. The system was left at the GDM login screen. I needed to disconnect it from wall power and the network and carry it to another room, so I closed the lid. The computer suspended
