I cannot reproduce this issue with Ubuntu-10.04 or 10.10 could you by
any chance also confirm if the issue is fixed with a later version of

I have make some tests with the latest updates packages and there is no
change with this bug. I have try to change the output device and this
make the sound off.
The principal sound control seems to act on the pitch and not on the
volume and the sound

may have been fixed
Hello Mr Bacher, this bug is allways present since i have make the
migration to ubuntu 9.10.
With the last version of ubuntu i have no problem with the sound mixer
(same material).
