I've just tested and the problem still occurs. Presumably the Xubuntu repository (and therefore my machine) is still on v3.3.2 rather than v3.3.3 or the recently released v3.4.2. I'll download the v3.4.2 .deb from the LibreOffice website and report my results soon. $ lsb_release -rd
