ok, i managed to narrow it down. the problem is triggered when calling: sudo ethtool -s eth0 autoneg off speed 100 this, for example, happens via sudo /etc/pm/power.d/eth_speed true my (network) setup: ACER Aspire Easystore H340 using 09:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Marvell Technology

Just got into the very same trouble after enabling Jumbo frames for the adapter (ifconfig eth0 mtu 9000). Seems that the sky2 driver isn't capable of working at high data transmission speeds. Resetting mtu back to normal (1500) fixes the issue here. 100% reproducibility. My adapter is Marvell

i'm experiencing this bug with my ACER Aspire Easystore H340 running ubuntu natty. this happens after the box switches to UP code (i do not know if this is actually related, but i notice that it *always* happens after the switch). please find the syslog file attached. cheers, raoul excerpt
