enough information.  You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs

grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.  
We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at 
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the 
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Deleting Xorg.conf got rid of the problemthanks

 Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

 I have a Dell Latitude E 4300 with Dell 19 screen attached. I like to run
 the 19 screen at 1028x1024 and did so comfortably in Intrepidhowever
 since Karma, whenever I set the 19 screen to mirror of and 1028x1024, the
 window panels (and Cairo Dock) disappear and cannot be used.
