[Bug 493296] Re: no more bootclean.sh in karmic initscripts
** Description changed: Binary package hint: initscripts hi, since Ubuntu Karmic there's no more bootclean scripts in init. - Is there any way to add this script to clean /boot (/var/run, etc...) at boot time ? + Is there any way to add this script to clean /tmp (/var/run, etc...) at boot time ? [Bug 493296] Re: no more bootclean.sh in karmic initscripts
Sorry for my mistake, i would say to clean /tmp. In my case, the /tmp is no more cleaned since Ubuntu Karmic. So, i was looking for bootclean.sh like Debian does. Here's my structure: sda + sda Kernel Raid1 Cryptsetup LVM /tmp w...@willo:/etc/init$ df -hT /tmp/ FilesystemTypeSize Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg0-tmp ext24.6G 121M 4.3G 3% /tmp w...@willo:/tmp/initrd$ ls -ld /tmp/ drwxrwxrwt 179 root root 8192 2009-12-07 18:40 /tmp/ w...@willo:/etc/init$ cat /etc/default/rcS # # /etc/default/rcS # # Default settings for the scripts in /etc/rcS.d/ # # For information about these variables see the rcS(5) manual page. # # This file belongs to the initscripts package. TMPTIME=0 SULOGIN=no DELAYLOGIN=no UTC=yes VERBOSE=no FSCKFIX=no So everythings ok for /tmp to be cleaned, but nothing is done. /tmp is growing and growing and need to delete files manually. -- no more bootclean.sh in karmic initscripts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/493296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 493296] Re: no more bootclean.sh in karmic initscripts
The functionality provided by that script has been merged in to mountall now (which cleans /tmp on boot). I don't know why you'd want to clean /boot. /var/run is a tmpfs on Ubuntu, so the contents of this filesystem are volatile anyway ** Changed in: sysvinit (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- no more bootclean.sh in karmic initscripts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/493296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
