So, the run of the script
I have this problem also, but in Gnome. I assume this is shared
functionality, and isn't KDE or gnome specific
With Karmic, the brightness functionality worked fine.
In lucid, so far, as of very late alpha 3 (updated fully on 19th of March)
The 'make brighter' key combination seems to work
but
