10.4 works flawlessly on my freshly installed Ubuntu 10.04 system, frame rate now shows as being around 200 as well. (same comp as had the bug previously) I haven't used it much yet but 10.4 looks like a fabulous release! A new version of Stellarium, AWESOME! I would install it and test it out if I could figure out how to get libqt4-dev (4.6) compiled installed! Any ideas or help in this regard? Nothing noticeable, in fact I think it feels insignificantly, slightly smoother running Compiz - maybe Compiz blurs the frames together or something? Anyways, short answer is no. I will mention though that I noticed today the frame rate had changed from ~25 fps to ~45 fps as was previously the case with my 7900gs.
