Mark has not seen the final answer I placed in this bug report, do not
know how to let Mark know.

Restarted with a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 from LXF 127
Using Brother solution center. Download loaded the two files for MFC210C
Printer is a MFC215C - Have to used 210 Drivers.
With other commands from a Ubuntu How to install MFC210C document
Managed to get Brother printer to work.
