The one in Maverick is even worse. The applet dies at random, which
obviously result in failure to put the laptop to sleep.

Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on
Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with

Found my problem was the SD card. If I unmount the card the suspend and
recovery work fine.
