Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: apport

I'm trying to report a kernel bug with the command:

$ ubuntu-bug linux

The tool asks a series of questions, and I answer "No", "No", "Yes",
"regression-potential", "No", "This has only happened once",
respectively.

After answering the questions, apport presents the following dialog:

  Problem in linux-image-2.6.32-9-ge
  The problem cannot be reported:
  This is not a genuine Ubuntu package

(the title is too wide for the window and the window can't be resized)

I'm running Lucid, up-to-date on 2010-01-16.

Related bug reports:

* Bug #391799:
  "ubuntu-bug -p linux fails to file a bug report against kernel package"
  In this case, I'm *not* using the -p option

  "Given that ubuntu-bug is now needed for all bug reports, non-genuine
packages should be allowed."
