At least in my case, the problem is the giant flashing text cursor as described
in this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/612261
Clicking on an area with smaller text will make the cursor smaller and not so
annoying.

Kind of annoying really. Probably just bad design on Facebook's part.
Just upgraded to FF 3.6.8 (Lucid.) Obviously, no issues in Mac or
Windows for me. No issue with Chromium in Ubuntu either. Noticed this as
far back as 3.6.6.

I have a similar problem, though it is with many websites, and not 1/4
of screen - more like 1/8.
I am using a fresh install of Lucid but no new java packages, and just
upgraded firefox to 3.6.6

I am receiving the same error in Lucid after installing a few packages.
I haven't tracked down the package yet but I think it may have something
to do with a java package that I installed to get a video feed working.
