Nothing has changed. There is no plan to migrate gnupg 1 and 2 to the alternatives system. Especially scripts might break when pointing /usr/bin/gpg to gnupg2. Gnupg 1 and 2 do not behave identically (the second for example requires a running agent). -- provide gpg with the alternatives system
