Ok, this problem seems to have sorted itself out - not sure what was
happening originally but it's ok now! Bug closed...

Thanks for your bug report. Do you have problem with double clicking only in
Nautilus, or it's not working everywhere?
Can you past content of file /etc/X11/xorg.conf please?
Do you tried to setup double click interval in System-Preferences-Mouse?
