7.0.63.5ubuntu1 is not working for me. I get a similar error (return:
206: Illegal number: -1) even if I remove the package and then install
it again.

I have upgraded from Dapper to edgy,
I have the latest packages from Edgy repos as of today,
I installed the patch, 

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo patch /usr/sbin/update-flashplugin 
update-flashplugin.patch 
patching file /usr/sbin/update-flashplugin

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo update-flashplugin Downloading...  done.
installation failed

What can be the problem?

There are two problems with flashplugin-nonfree.

a) In sh, you must not return/exit negative values.
b) /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox is a symlink to /usr/lib/firefox; thus trying to 
set a symlink in *both* directories will of course not work.

This patch fixes both problems.
