this bug is afecting me too and I'm on ubuntu 10.10 if libmoon is installed firefox crash at launch but if I remove it ( from synaptic) firefox work fine aigain and I don't play with some plugin database or something like that -- cannot open Firefox when libmoon is installed

Can also confirm on Lucid 64 bit. I un-install all the moonlight (libmoon and plugin) then run firefox perfectly. I then reinstall moonlight and firefox runs perfectly. But, alas - when I create a new user the problem is back in their account and I have to do the un-install - reinstall trick

Same problem and same solution as poitydrip...but... All Ubuntu user's aren't gurus !!! As ubuntu fan, I purpose to all people I know to switch to free software, preferabily on Ubuntu and chose also LTS vers. It's a very important bug when std apps, as browser doesn't work fine after upgrade !!!

I can confirm what JC experienced. I had renamed my .mozilla directory and found FF crashing everytime I tried to start it clean. After I removed moonlight-plugin-mozilla, it starts normally. This is on the AMD64 lucid. -- cannot open Firefox when libmoon is installed
