On my Laptop (acer aspire 1692 WMLi), i don't have encountered this
problem anymore. A reinstall of the system solved the problem.

I'm encountering the same problem on my laptop (acer aspire 1692 WMLi)
I don't know why this appearred, the hibernate worked fine befor on my fresh
Gutsy Gibbon install (6 days without problem)
Now every time I try to hybernate, the swap is corrupted on reboot.
If you have some ideas to try

This is usually caused by a driver that is not suspend compatible, or by
there not being enough memory/swap to suspend to.

This time the computer didn't actually power off, but came back to X
after about 10 seconds of HD activity. Attaching dmesg. I have no idea
why the behaviour was different this time. I'll try again immediately
after a reboot.

Seems to be that my Thinkpad doesn't want to power down when hibernating
on Tuesdays, or something. Here's another dmesg, after a reboot. There
is some difference in the output (that is, in addition to the keyboard
messages in the earlier listing), but I'm not sure if there are any
