Since now gecko-mediaplayer is build without gconf, could the plugin be un-blacklisted ? The bug report mention it will be available only on Chrome 11, so is it possible to backport the fix ? Issue confirmed in Kubuntu Lucid with latest stable Chrome (5.0.375.29). Removing the package: gecko-mediaplayer allows Chrome to work properly. I can confirm this, in fact every single page hangs up if gecko- mediaplayer is installed.
