It has also been reported that booting with radeon.new_pll=0 solves the
issue. Please test this on affected systems, and report the results.
Please test EITHER the new kernel above OR the boot parameter but not
both together.

reports. Didn't mean to let this go for so long.

I've built a test kernel with Robert Hooker's patch on top of the Lucid
tip, please test it and see if it resolves the problem.

Confirmed also affects Lucid 32bit desktop version, on my laptop with
