Hello,
This bug also affects/effects me. Using an HP6910p and an HP Docking
station. If I boot the machine before I dock, the internal speakers are
on as well as the dock connected speakers. If I unplug the speakers
from the dock and plug them back in, the internal speakers are muted.

After the upgrade to 10.10 the sound is only for the speakers. If I plug
the headphones the speakers continue working but no sound on headphones.
Now the internal microphone doesn´t work and the sound card now is a
Conexant CX20585.

Hi, I have the same problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite L645, when
I plug headphones speakers don't mute. alsamixer shows very simple sound
card, Master, PCM, Mic and Mic-1.
The sound works, but PCM slider don't have any effect only master. I
read a lot of solutions and changes to alsa-base.c
I can confirm that like Mark Schewe wrote, muting is working when using
the notebook headphone jack.

Same problem for me. Thinkpad X200 + Ultrabase.
If I plug the headphones to the Ultrabase audio jack, I hear sound
through both the headphones and from the notebook itself.
If i plug the headphones directly to the notebook, it works fine.

Actually, this made my situation more worse. Now I don't get any audio
signal - not from the notebook jack nor from the dockingstation. Any

I added the repository and installed the driver. But somehow this does not
