I have experienced similar problem. Keyboard works @ boot after standard Logitech activation using switches on kbd and dongle. Once logged in using another PS2 kbd all attempts to register / connect has failed, it gives message successful but the line for the kbd never gets bold indicating connection. The keyboard worked once in another machine running 10.4 over the built in BT (not the dongle). Now BT stopped working in the second system aswell. The kbd works fine in original system under Windows Vista. The worst part of this change is the fact that most mornings the keyboard has lost its BT sync with Ubuntu, sometimes turning the keyboard off and on works, but most time it does not and a red bluetooth light appears on the keyboard meaning that the board cannot reconnect. Which generally means powering the computer off and on to restore the keyboard and mouse. The Dinovo Edge works with lucid but in a different way. The dinovo dongle is now a fully usable BT-Dongle. The bad side, you have to pair your devices. First you must login, therefore you need a second keyboard. Press the connect button on the backside of the keyboard. Now you can start the pairing trough your bluetooth-manager. Give a random choosen 4 digit keyword for the pairing. After connecting the keyboard, enter this 4 digits on the keyboard and press enter. Now your keyboard should work as before.
