Public bug reported:

Whenever I use kubuntu/ubuntu I get the error "hub 5-0:1.0: over-current change 
on port 2" flooding my virtual consoles. It floods so much, the console is 
unusable. Using the command dmesg -n 1 stops this error, but makes all other 
errors not display. Most distros from which I've used, direct all errors to one 
specific console, instead of all of them. I suggest doing this, so people who 
have hardware issues (mine being a broken usb plug) can still use virtual 
consoles without being flooded by one error over and over.
