I'm not sure at all that this is a bug. Some services shouldn't be removed from the session at all. ** Changed in: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gnome-system-tools = gnome-session Importance: Untriaged = Low -- Can't delete startup program that the system offered

This is mostly a duplicate of bug 40207, which is supposed to be fixed already. Can anybody confirm? ** Changed in: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Unconfirmed -- Can't delete startup program that the system offered https://launchpad.net/bugs/55579 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing

The delete button is disabled on all start up programs, for me, including things like nm-applet, update-notifier and beagle. My understanding is that it's not a dupe of bug 40207 as currently I can't remove things even in the GUI. ** Changed in: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed

Ok, that seems perfectly valid for me to NOT be able to delete system startup programs, but just deactivate them. However, I AM able to remove startup programs I add myself - this seems valid behaviour to me. -- Can't delete startup program that the system offered

You can't delete system programs with an user but can desactivate them for your session which as Daniel expressed looks a logical behaviour. Could you describe what sort of program you try to edit and what you would expect to happen and what happens exactly at the moment? ** Changed in:
