[Bug 56000] Re: File has changed on disk. Reload instead of saving? on save
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, screem has been removed from Lucid for the following reasons: RoQA; inactive maintainer, dead upstream, buggy, depends on deprecated libraries (taken from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/screem/0.16.1-4.2ubuntu1/+publishinghistory Therefore I'm closing this bug. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find in Ubuntu. ** Changed in: screem (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid ** Changed in: screem Importance: Unknown = Undecided ** Changed in: screem Status: Unknown = New ** Changed in: screem Remote watch: SourceForge.net Tracker #1510561 = None ** Changed in: screem Status: New = Invalid -- File has changed on disk. I confirm the bug still exists on Ubuntu 9.10 Screem version 0.16.1. It happens both with individual files with files in a site. The bug happens every time I use Ctrl-S. It does not happen when I use the Save button. My /etc/profile has a umask of 022 which is the default in Ubuntu -- File has changed on disk. [Bug 56000] Re: File has changed on disk. Reload instead of saving? on save
Brad, I'm using the current Ubuntu version, 0.16.1. I've refined the nature of the problem: 1) It only happens when you are working on a site (in the program's terminology), not with individual random files. 2) It only happens on the second save of the session onwards. So, create a site and make a file, say index.html, as part of it. Now type some text and save the file. Repeat. This should produce the message in my original bug, above. -- File has changed on disk. [Bug 56000] Re: File has changed on disk. Reload instead of saving? on save
** Description changed: Binary package hint: screem - Whenever I try to save a file, I get the above message. Selecting no - (which is the default) saves the file, whereas selecting yes undoes - all changes since the last save. + Whenever I try to save a file (edit: only happens when using Ctrl+S and + not the Save button on the toolbar), I get the above message. + Selecting no (which is the default) saves the file, whereas selecting + yes undoes all changes since the last save. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a problem with my settings but, either way, it's extremely annoying. (I'm saving to a subdirectory of my home directory, so I don't think this is a permissions problem.) ** Tags removed: error reload -- File has changed on disk.
