[Bug 56542] Re: Banshee is built without njb device support
I should note that this is still broken even though it's compiled in now, as I reported a while ago in bug #63677 -- Banshee is built without njb device support https://launchpad.net/bugs/56542 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56542] Re: Banshee is built without njb device support
this is fixed with 0.10.12-0ubuntu1 now ** Changed in: banshee (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Fix Released -- Banshee is built without njb device support https://launchpad.net/bugs/56542 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56542] Re: Banshee is built without njb device support
I just downloaded the tarball of the latest version (0.10.11) from Banshee's website and compiled it - njb support is working fine. -- Banshee is built without njb device support https://launchpad.net/bugs/56542 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Sebastian, you disabled it so I'm punting this one to you. YOu probably know the source better than I do ;) ** Changed in: banshee (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Sebastian Dröge -- Banshee is built without njb device support https://launchpad.net/bugs/56542 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56542] Re: Banshee is built without njb device support
Ok, I'll enable it again with the next upload then. This could take some time because I need a patch to work against our latest nautilus-cd- burner first... Were there any manual changes required to get njb support working? Like setting permissions on the device, etc? -- Banshee is built without njb device support https://launchpad.net/bugs/56542 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56542] Re: Banshee is built without njb device support
No, I just extracted the tarball, installed all the appropriate development packages, compiled it, and it worked. I transferred 8 gigs of music so I know it's working fine. Playing files off the device directly does not work, however, but I'm not too concerned about that because neutrino always froze up on me when I tried to do that, so I don't think it's a Banshee issue. At least Banshee shows the files as unplayable instead of freezing. I did have gnomad2 installed previously, but i don't believe i did anything special with it either. They just worked. -- Banshee is built without njb device support https://launchpad.net/bugs/56542 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
