No. I believe this was fixed in 6.10. Certainly, I am still using the
laptop and was no longer experiencing this problem. Similarly, this
does not affect me in 7.04 (late beta).
Also worth mentioning, I do not have to boot with acpi=off in either
6.10 or 7.04. Please feel free to close this
