Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnupg2

I am having problems with gpg-agent on karmic. Sometimes it just does
not start, and I cannot find out why. When it happens, no gpg-agent
process is running, GPG_AGENT_INFO is not set, and ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent-
info-<hostname> does not exist. I tried adding "--log-file
~/.gpgagent.log --debug-level expert" to /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90gpg-
agent, but nothing is logged there when startup fails. When it does
start, everything is logged just fine.

Starting gpg-agent from the Terminal works fine in every case. When it
fails, logging out and back in again solves the problem.

How can I find out what is causing the failure?

** Affects: gnupg2 (Ubuntu)
