@ booch I have and Nvidia NVS 450. I did the next: # sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and put there this code: vga16fb nouveau And started to compile driver once again. I did't get the first error THE DISTRIBUTION-PROVIDED PRE-INSTALL SCRIPT FAILED. but I've got another error. Text of this error is below: Error: Unable to load the kernel module 'nvidia.ko'.
