Well , the icon need not be removed from the theme. Bug 534477 is just
about the panel showing the icon. and the bug was filed in nautilus.

Specifically, the system-file-manager-panel icon sits in the status
folder (I'm looking at Humanity right now, which is the only icon theme
with these icons in it.)

By the way, in the screenshot I attached, the icon theme I'm using is
ubuntu-mono-dark, but it is falling back to Humanity for the nautilus
file transfer icon.
