Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) reached end-of-life on May 9, 2013, Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) reached end-of-life on April 10, 2012 and Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) reached end-of-life on October 28, 2012. After updating to Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal my external USB harddrive with several partitions can be unmounted but not detached (safely removed). I tried to update the deliverd Nautilus 3.4.2 to 3.6 with the ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3 PPA but then it even didn't start. Hey guys, Ok I have been using Karmic since the last report on this issue. Today I reinstalled Lucid ,clean,...Monday July 12, 2010. The issue still persists!!!
