At the discussion at the linked Gnome bug

that the reason for this bug might be the way glibc handles dates.
BTW: anyone checked if the bug still appears in Hardy?

such comments are not useful, nobody denied there was a bug and most of
the ubuntu distribution team is actually in Europe, the issue is that
there is ten of thousand of open bugs and a limited number of people
working on those

I have the same bug in Gutsy, on PL_pl (polish) locale.
I'm attaching a screenshot.
First popup says Validation error: the starttime is wrong, and the second
means Invalid date.
I can't add any tasks or meetings - Evolution is unusable.

Thanks, but I hope it will be fixed soon. Workarounds as this works well
for power users, but is another reason for luddites to avoid computers.
