This has been fixed upstream in 4.0-rc1¹.
This bug appeared with recent versions of gtk.
Will 4.0~rc2.dfsg.1 propagate to edgy? I'm not familiar with ubuntu way
of doing things... I think I need to fill a bug against edgy-backports
or something like that?²
